The spacious landscaped garden provides secluded nooks to enjoy in the summer time. Residents are encouraged to participate in preparing the flowerbeds and add their favourite plants if they so wish.
Kinross is registered as a Residential Care Home by the Care Quality Commission to accommodate 29 people.
Kinross is situated within easy walking distance of all the local amenities including churches, surgery and pharmacy. The main hospital is within a radius of 2 miles, easily accessible by public transport.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
Our aims and objectives are: To provide residents with a comfortable and enjoyable home in special surroundings within a friendly and pleasant atmosphere. To provide care and support in maintaining independence and ensuring that privacy, dignity and rights are respected at all times. To ensure the plan of care is tailored to meet each individual needs based on our assessments. To promote a safe and healthy environment for the welfare of the residents, staff and visitors.
There is a reception area, a large dining room adjacent to the fully equipped kitchen and two comfortable sitting rooms, both of which are south facing overlooking the landscaped gardens.
Visitors are most welcome at any reasonable time. A large visitors’ car park is situated at the rear of the home.
RESIDENTS’ PRIVATE ROOMS
Most rooms have en-suite facilities. Some rooms have private doors leading to the gardens. All rooms have nurse-call systems and television aerial sockets. Some rooms have telephone landline facilities. Residents may, if they wish, bring personal furniture by arrangement with the manager.
Balanced home cooked meals are prepared on the premises. Individual preferences and diets are also catered for. There is a menu plan which is monitored by the cook and the manager.
There is a mobile library service with large print books. These are regularly renewed. There is an activity co-ordinator who provides a range of activities to suit the needs and tastes of the residents. There is a shaft lift and facilities for wheel-chair access. Additional services can easily be arranged such as dry-cleaning, newspapers, hairdressers, chiropody, dental care etc. These services are charged separately.
Fire precautions have recently been upgraded and are maintained to the optimum level by Southern Fire Protection Services based locally. Smoking is not permitted.
